Well…. if you can really call it "sushi", that is:
So this is a place formerly called "China Teriyaki", recently re-christened with the interesting name Roll-N-Sushi.
They remain a drive-thru tiny establishment with two tables inside the miniscule interior. Much of the menu remains from China Teriyaki, but the addition of several varities of rolls is the new attraction.
Sadly, all of these are cooked varieties of fish or just veggies. The tiny kitchen in back may not be ideal for handling and storing raw seafood, so I was satisfied instead with an eel roll, while my friend had the dragon roll, containing far more eel than mine.
Overall? Not so great, considering that rolls are the same $4-7 that they are everywhere and the quality is only OK. But if you need a dragon roll passed to you through the window of your car, this is the place to do it….

A day without chile is like a day without sunshine. That's our state motto, at least for the foodies and chile-heads it is…
But according to a new study, a day with chile could be a day without cancer. It's tasty, addictive, and healthy, just like chocolate…. how about that.

According to the National Restaurant Association, the top "anti-trends" in food for 2007 include Ethiopian cuisine.
That's really too bad – I've recently converted a few friends to the homey stews of Africa, and one big lament that any ABQ foodie will repeat over and over is that we need Ethiopian here.
Here's the list, if you're interested (southern food items get the smackdown as well – post-Katrina backlash?):
"Topping the list of items receiving less interest are Scandinavian cuisine, starfruit, organ meats/sweetbreads, Ethiopian cuisine, kiwi, edible flowers/rose petals, blackened items, low-carb dough, soda bread and fruit soups. Other items on the non-trendy list include German cuisine, taro, low-carb items, foams, okra, vichyssoise, meat salad, consommé, catfish and cold soups."
…and the link to their press release.
