I would call them and ask to be added to their email list, which has messages sent out usually weekly to reveal the upcoming community table events, etc.

Their website does not even have an email address on it for contact! Tsk, tsk.

If I had known about it, I would have been there. The website still has BBQ showdown dates from early August... What other sources do you recommend if their own site is outdated?

I believe that for a "small" town like Albuquerque, Jennifer James is like manna. She is not cheap nor always "easy" to wrap your head around (black pepper ice cream, anyone?), but her skills would compete in any big city.

That being said, in a big city she also wouldn't stand out, but the Duke City should be glad to have her.

I thought it was just me, but a lot of the people I trust agree that Jennifer James is fairly overrated, but maybe all of us are wrong. I certainly wish her success and hope the food is good.
